Vigilance Bureau arrests Patwari and his assistant for accepting Rs 1000 bribe

Chandigarh, April 2: Continuing its zero-tolerance policy against corruption, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau (VB) has arrested a revenue patwari and his assistant for accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000.  The accused have been identified as Kulwinder Singh, Patwari of Halqa Waringkhera in Mukatsar Sahib district and his assistant Ashok Kumar. Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the state VB said both the above said accused were booked following a complaint lodged by a resident of Waringkhera village on the Chief Minister’s Anti Corruption Action Line.
