Chandigarh, May 14, 2025: The Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is working swiftly for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. In this regard, Defence Services Welfare Minister Mr. Mohinder Bhagat held a meeting with officers to review the ongoing work of the department and the progress of welfare schemes for ex-servicemen. During the meeting, Mr. Mohinder Bhagat instructed officers to ensure effective implementation of various welfare schemes aimed at the benefit of ex-servicemen and their families. Chandigarh, May 13: Expressing solidarity with family of Sukhwinder Kaur, who died due to attack by Pakistani drone a few days back at Ferozepur, the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday announced a financial assistance worth Rs 10 lakh for the family of deceased. In a statement issued here today, the Chief Minister said that out of these Rs 10 lakh, Rs 5 lakh will be given from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund whereas Rs 5 lakh will be given by Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora.
