Punjab made all arrangements for uninterrupted Power Supply during Paddy Season: Harbhajan Singh ETO

Chandigarh, May 19 The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has completed all arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power supply to farmers during the paddy season. Announcing this while addressing a press conference here today, Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has issued directives to promote DSR (Direct Sowing of paddy) in the state. In view of this, the schedule for direct sowing of paddy has been released earlier than in previous years. Jalandhar, May 18, 2025:_* In a significant achievement in the ongoing initiative “Yudh Nashian Virudh”, the CIA staff of Commissionerate Jalandhar apprehended three individuals and seized four illegal pistols (.32 bore), eight live rounds, and 150 grams of heroin. Divulging the details, Commissioner of Police Smt. Dhanpreet Kaur said that on May 17, 2025, CIA team was conducting routine patrols in the area from Maqsudan Chowk to Bidhipur, Jalandhar. Jalandhar, May 18: Further intensifying Yudh Nashia Virudh initiative, Punjab Horticulture, Freedom Fighters, and Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Singh Bhagat today held meetings with warf defence committees of wards No. 42, 43, and 44 in the city, urging them to work resolutely against drug abuse and spread the message of drug de-addiction to every household.
